    I'd rather have the possibility of someone donating $5 every now and then, rather than make the mistake of simply taking that $5 for sure, but possibly losing out on any future money from that person.

    At the end of the day, business is all about timing and risks. The server is financially stable at this time, and so why not risk trying out a $5 scroll.

    I'm not 100% sure but i can only assume that David made it this way for more profit. It's a really clever way to get people to donate more then they need which is smart and i support it.

    I think most people have already decided what they want to buy from the store, before they donate. This would just mean people would be donating more often and would fall into a habit of donating.

    To a lot of people playing, $5 is a lot more expendable than $10. Once someone has more of a choice about how much they're donating, they are more likely to become frequent donators.

  4. This would be awesome, however the amount of coding a grand exhange system would take is mind boggling. For example, right now all that has to be considered is the item up for sale, and having someone purchase it. It's basically a player owned shop. Once you start talking about leaving buy offers in the trading post, you have to consider how to automatically transfer exact wealth and items in the same way the GE does, for example the way the GE orders offers, and who actually buys the item, if there are three or four separate buy offers in.

    This isn't something that has been overlooked by God David, it's just something that isn't really feasible, without having another developer to support the coding.


  5. Just to clarify. I'm both in-game and forum mod. I'm like the 5th most active mod in-game, and probably the most active forum user. I spend 50% of my time in-game skilling and answering PM's/Help cc questions, the other 50% of the time I won't be in the help cc, however my PM's are nearly always open if someone really needs me, and isn't just asking a question to which I can reply "::topic blah blah blah".

    What do you mean it would ruin the eco? The items are literally just going to appear under your forum name, this has nothing to do with these items in the game??

    I can single handedly manage spam on servers with 5x times the forum users we have now, only difference is we have more than just me moderating the forums.

    Your first point makes no sense, and your second one is irrelevant.

    I don't get why people cant just teleport to them, You literally get teleported near the boss, so everyones excuses "pkers will kill pvmers more often" "this will make pvming easy"

     

    IT literally does nothing but help new players actually know their is bosses on this server

    no clue why it was made like this, this is a spawn server, stuff is meant to be fast and fast gameplay

    I mean, I understand what you're saying. So long as the boss is one which is constantly in the wilderness I don't think instant teleports to it would be catastrophically bad, but monsters like Zulrah shouldn't have an instant teleport to them.

    But that is the risk you take. You could run there, but you chose to pay. It's all risk v reward. 

    You could get 500k, and be PKed, you could also get a great item.

    Maybe even options to buy them so that they sunk gold at the same time. Say you could buy a Vet'ion teleport scroll for like 5m and that grants you one teleport to the boss.
